i am behind rent i owe for january and now february but the landlord sent an eviction notice on 2/6/09 and also changed the locks on the door. we do not have a written lease of any sort but what i am asking is if that is legal? i havent been spending anytime there at all been at my moms helping to take care of her

and the eviction notice said on ir before february 17th and i am having trouble finding an apt

my income tax check should be here by friday so i have money

but i am really starting to worry

any help?

does anybody know of any program that helps a single mom with bad credit which helps purchasing a home ? i have no knowledge on how to go about this.

i rent and the landlord isn't the best, so far this season i have been without heat 3 times, i myself have fallen down my outside steps twice and my youngest fell down once. i can say numerous complaints about my landlord but what i am really looking for is getting out of here and trying to better myself.

and i have bad credit and nothing to put down on the home. i am a single mom of 2 (at home) i only make $12,000 a year

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
